The IPC Cross-border E-commerce Shopper Survey 2022 provides a comprehensive analysis of the global trends and drivers shaping cross-border e-commerce from the perspective of online consumers.       For the past 14 years, the Future of Mail by Air initiative (FoMbA) brought together airlines and posts to ensure cooperation. As of February 2020, FoMbA has been renamed "Engage" to better reflect the evolution and the principles of the initiative.

      The IPC Import Control System 2 (ICS2) solution is a direct response to the EU eCUSTOMS programme, which sets up an electronic declaration obligation for all goods imported in the European Union customs territory for security reasons. Posts were exempted from ICS1 but are now legally obliged to implement ICS2. The European Commission will build a central system to which all data will flow. IPC’s ICS2 solution is designed to map electronic data messages from the postal EDI format to the EU’s Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) format. Since data are already available in the IPC Data Hub and are already transported over IPC’s Message Exchange Platform, extending these systems to provide a centralised ICS2 solution will provide the posts with streamlined processes and increased efficiency in the most cost-efficient manner.

      Several posts and carriers which are part of the IPC FoMbA initiative requested a solution to automatically approve payments on receptacles, through the usage of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages exchanged between posts and airlines.
